At MKUH, giving your time helps make a big difference to our patients’ lives. Having volunteers enables us to do more, whether that is time to spend with patients, or helping give our teams extra capacity. Volunteers are vital in helping the Trust deliver the highest quality healthcare possible to our many patients.

Volunteering is also an excellent opportunity for people to give back to their local hospital and to help make a real difference.

Volunteers are a really important part of the team at MKUH, and as a Pastoral Support volunteer you will be patients and staff across the hospital to help improve patient's wellbeing and mental health throughout their hospital stay.

We look for you to be able to commit to a minimum of 3 hours a week for 6 months. If you have any experience or particular interest tell us, it may come in useful. It’s really easy to get your volunteering started. If you're over 18 years old, just click on ‘Apply’ and get filling in your details!

Please note that specialised training for this role will take place June 2023 - July 2023
