Breast Feeding Peer Supporter Volunteer

Opportunity image

Volunteers are a really important part of the team at MKUH, supporting patients and staff across the hospital, helping us do more.

At MKUH, giving your time helps make a big difference to our patients’ lives. Having volunteers enables us to do more, whether that is time to spend with patients, or helping give our teams extra capacity. Volunteers are vital in helping the Trust deliver the highest quality healthcare possible to our many patients. Volunteering is also an excellent opportunity for people to give back to their local hospital and to help make a real difference.

We require passionate and outgoing individuals to provide peer support to our new parents on how to breastfeed their newborns, with reassurance and guidance.

We look for you to be able to commit to a minimum of 3 hours a week for 12 months. It’s really easy to get your volunteering started. If you're over 18 years old, and have breastfed exclusively for 6-months or more, just click on ‘Apply’ and get filling in your details!
